Urban and Regional Planner with passion for cross-cutting research, graduated at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy. During the studies she investigated the dynamics occurring between urban and rural areas, from peri-urban metabolism in Germany within projects related to food waste, to India for a master’s thesis on land acquisition and rural migration as drivers for the rural-urban transition. She has been studying in a post-graduate program in GIScience for the management of environmental conflicts and public participation at the University of Padua. These experiences among others brought her to join Coral ITN, where she is going to apply a critical approach to the role of CWS in rural development. The research project meets her interests for its focus on internal and rural areas from both spatial and socio-economic angles, especially about if and how CWS could foster community and regional development, starting from real cases in Europe.
