Course description:
CORAL-ITN invites five PhD Candidates to join the CORAL-ITN Training on quantitative and qualitative methods 20 – 24 June 2022 in Zeitz, Germany.
With the four-day training event, the CORAL team aims at providing an introduction to the use of quantitative and qualitative methods to pursue research on issues of regional development in Europe and beyond with a focus on the role of collaborative workspaces in rural and peripheral areas. With a mix of keynote lectures, seminars, open and interactive sessions the event provides a platform to discuss and further advance the use of methods in the individual PhD-projects of all participants. Topics will be linked, inter alia, to transnational comparative (case study) research, the use of statistical methods to map spatial disparities, mixed methods and qualitative interviews.
Selected applicants will be paired with CORAL-ITN Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs) and senior researchers and will participate in a series of events designed to facilitate intellectual engagement, offer training on research methods and promote peer and professional support.
