Alexandra Wrbka

Alexandra obtained her two Bachelor’s degrees in languages and media studies from the University of Vienna. Her Erasmus placement in Brussels as well as her interest in everything unfamiliar inspired her to continue her career- and life path outside her home and comfort zone. In Amsterdam, she pursued a Master’s degree in social and cultural / visual anthropology and conducted fieldwork in Athens on Greek rebetiko music and youth during three months. This experience sparked a research interest in sociocultural movements and creative labor and strengthened her passion for the Greek setting. Moreover, she discovered ethnographic filmmaking as a creative research method for her.

Alexandra is excited to continue doing what she likes in the CORAL-ITN project, working on a topic that takes her back to Greece and Austria. She is curious to explore the gendered dynamics of collaborative forms of organization in the creative sector in rural areas in these two places.
